Book 2 in The Alphathletes Series by Katelyn Taylor
The moment I started reading The Walls We Break, I couldn’t stop! It’s a warm, heartfelt, and angst-filled story that pulls you in from page one—and boy, grab some tissues. You’re gonna need them.
Declan is a gentle and adorable football player who finds the girl of his dreams. He falls for her right away and doesn’t give up on her even after so many rejections. Violet, aka Vi, is a single, hardworking woman trying to make ends meet and provide for Tucker, her 5-year-old cutie pie. A lot has happened in Vi’s life, and she carries some heartbreaking baggage with her. Both of them have their little secrets, but there comes a time when everything spills out, turmoil hits them, and they must fight hard for their love and little Tucker.
There are fun scenes that will make you laugh. Anxiety will strike you in others, but also anger and the urge to punch bad people in the face. You’ll get a fuzzy heart, feel hot and bothered by their spicy love, and just when you think that’s it, the book shifts, and it’ll make you cry with Declan and Vi. It’s a whirlwind of emotions.
If you like sweet but strong sports romances with wonderful characters, you’ve found your next read. I truly enjoyed this book from the first page to the last word.
